Somatic Movement Therapy

Earth, Water, Sky and all the elements . . .

Somatic

Somatic relates to anything having to do with the body, it comes from the Greek word ‘Soma’
which means ‘body’. When we deeply listen to our body and focus on internal sensations
about areas of pain, discomfort, imbalance, or trauma we gain new insights.

What to expect
in a session?

Through integrated movements, breath and hands on touch we create a path to healing and wellness. You will be guided to slow down, settle into your felt experience and access more clarity about how you feel in your body. As you breathe more fully and move slowly you will discover your authentic feelings.  Many times we are so busy in our life that we don’t take the time to trust our gut. This can cause both confusion and a feeling of being stuck in our life, either because we are in physical pain, discomfort, or we are caught in an emotional spin of distress.

With my guidance and support you will enjoy a journey of depth and clarity about what you desire going forward. This path of embodied self-discovery can lead to a renewed sense of physical ease, mental clarity, offering tools for navigating the waves of our emotional tapestry and a sense of greater spiritual direction.

A session includes time for talking, moving, both guided and self-directed, and hands on healing touch.  Awareness is the first step to transformation.  By settling into your own breath rhythm and finding easy and enjoyable ways of moving, you will discover a sense of deep relaxation, connection to your body and mind, a freedom from pain, more clarity of thought and a deeper connection to your true nature.

TESTIMONIALS

“Working with Patrice Heber has changed my life, helping me to find inner peace, mental focus and strength, perspective and joy of living. I highly recommend anyone looking to live a richer life to contact her and work with her to help you in your own journey.
-  Evan Balzer

“After missing a morning yoga class last winter, I chose Patrice’s “Gentle Yoga” noon class, thinking something is better than nothing. How little did I know! During class I not only became a Patrice devotee, she ended the hour with a handful of Qigong movements. My physical and mental response was immediate and profound. From that moment on I’ve worked with Patrice in both her yoga and qigong classes and also privately. To say my life has changed dramatically is not dramatic because it is unquestionably true. Just as qigong is subtle and profound, so is Patrice. The combination of her esoteric experience, vitality, humor, compassion, and understanding, is unique and unparalleled. The postitive changes in my life, which my closest people continue to observe, is living proof.”
- Stacey Donovan, Author, Book Editor, Ghostwriter

“I have been fortunate to engage in one-on-one sessions with Patrice at key moments in my life, both joyful and difficult. She is able to create a supportive, loving space that allows big inner shifts to occur gently and organically. Through a beautiful balance of talking and silence, laughter and tears, movement and stillness, I have emerged from these sessions feeling more grounded, clear, and alive -- more myself. Working with her is a gift and a grace.”
